Exactly ame sense I got from him.  He must have called you the same day he 
and I talked.

BTW, since my AG pair have given me a chick, I've called Dr. Beasley, DVM 
(MSU) again and had a nice chat with him ... he seems very competent.  [He 
should since he comes recommended by a MSU vet school professor, the father 
of my daughters boy friend and YOU].
When I asked for suggestions on increasing their fertility, he suggested many 
(expensive) solutions ... some of which Dr. Musselmann (Auburn, MI) had 
performed.  I let him go on with these suggestions then brought him back to 
reality with what we had already done.  At least I became much more impressed 
with his knowledge (compared to my current vet).
I directed the discussion onto practical solutions.  The resultant discussion 
yielded:  Wait for the next clutch or two ... no improvement ...  then switch 
males ... for he has found in most cases it is the male ... (but could be the 
female).
I cancelled my Dec 2 appointment and asked that he send me a bill for my long 
distance 'office visit'.  He declined the offer ... wotta D.V.M.!
