When is the deadline? Surely around half-way through the season??? I'd 
prefer to make a reasonable choice than a WAG - which is all any season 
champ pick would be at this time.

What would you say to making the July Daytona race the deadline for a 
season champ pick (guess). I'm betting the J. Gordon fans won't budge 
from picking him... but, some of us might want to get an idea where 
things are going _before_ we puts our money on a number.
