The widow of one of the people killed in the Long Island Train shootings
has announced that she is running for Congress.  She is running because
she is disgusted with the Republican currently holding the seat.  She is
disgusted because he voted to repeal the "Assault Weapons" ban. She has
been very vocal in calling for more gun control, ever since the
shooting.
The womans name is Carol Maloney (sp?) and the media here has been
giving her LOTS of free publicity.  The incumbent is a freshman
republican who is said to be very vulnerable.
If she wins, she'll probably make Chuck the Schmuck seem like a
reasonable moderate by comparison.  And the media will turn her into the
new poster child for gun control.
