Since posting that message I've bitten the bullet and bought 
Portfolio Reporter.  Now all I have to do is enter all my back data.

I thought of Quicken, but wasn't sure how well it would be customised
for the Australian market. Does it handle all the appropriate
categories? Tax free, tax deferred, franking etc?
