Alan raised a point about the container file becoming bigger than 2GB. Has this ever been a problem for you? I have an external 160GB USB drive as a target for backups that is formatted jfs. I was thinking of backing up similar to what I do on my main machine. There I backup every Monday to tape and I have 5 tapes named WEEK1 to WEEK5. This gives me a 3 or 4 generations of backups if needed. I was thinking of creating directories WEEK1 to WEEK5 like my tape setup but just realized how big 160GB is. Now I am thinking I should adopt your method and rename the files and beable to keep many more for a longer period of time. Regards, Jim ------------------------ Yahoo!
