Ideally, you want someone experienced with the dynamics of a
self-defense shooting, not your family lawyer whose whole practice
revolves around real-estate closings and drawing up wills. So the
police union lawyer is a good place to start.
Then, check his record to find out if he's been WINNING these cases for
the union.
