The hard drives that are out there right now sure are attractive, there's definitely something about the thought of having some tens of gigs of space available to me that sorta grabs my attention. And I *could* go out and snag one of those, or something similar. But at this point I think I'm inclined to get a scanner and a cd burner first, and to make better use of what technology I have on hand here. Got MBs sitting around and I could upgrade some of what I'm running, like this box ferinstance, by just taking the time to shut it down and tear it apart, stick a different MB in there. And stuff like working on configs, getting things working better together than they are now... It's really pretty funny, too. There was a time when I'd jump at the chance to get a "new" (usually much faster) system or take a big jump in drive space, or things like that. But at this point I'm content to hold off on that stuff a bit. My one foray a couple of months back to look at what was out there in terms of new MBs and such convinced me that I wasn't ready to jump into that stuff just yet. There's always a way, if you make that choice. I don't ever expect to make that choice, but am realistic enough to allow that I might possibly feel differently about it under some circumstances.
