| subject: | What C++ Compiler ? |
ZZ> > FWIW, 1.5 includes a BC_WF.DLL in the BIN directory that > appears to provide Workframe integration. ZZ> I was about to say "what about the linker and debugger?", when I spotted TLINK_WF.DLL as well. Very interesting. There's even a profile, BORLAND.PRF. Well spotted. ZZ> > I'm not aware > that Borland admits to its existance, though... ZZ> That would be encouraging people not to use Borland's own IDE though, wouldn't it ? (-: It looks like Borland gets a checkmark in that box as well, along with a note that WorkFrame support isn't documented anywhere obvious in the manuals or on-line help, which is why I missed it (as has everyone else in the whole year and a bit that the Pros and Cons list has been running). Which leaves EMX C++ as the odd one out, with an author who is on record as saying that he doesn't intend to WorkFrame-enable his product ... Not everyone likes command lines, especially non-standard cryptic UNIXy ones. The people involved in EMX C++ don't seem to be able to grasp this, though. > JdeBP < ___ X MegaMail 2.10 #0: --- Maximus/2 2.02* Origin: DoNoR/2,Woking UK (44-1483-722344) (2:440/4) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 430 SEEN-BY: 711/807 808 809 934 942 949 955 712/515 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 440/4 141/209 270/101 396/1 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 808 809 934 |
