DT> Other than chicken and fish, what are some other lean sources of
DT> protein? This is a totally new concept to me. I've been exercising

Yes, but just don't take in more than you need. Some others are
protein powders, skim or lowfat milk, and lean cuts of beef. I also
use Egg beaters (an egg substitute), and Healthy Choice ham is very
lean. Also plain yougurt is a good source the one I am eating as I
write this has 12 grams of protein and 16 grams of carbohydrates,
this is the perfect ratio of 75% protein to carbo ratio. Since I am
not a great cook I buy those Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice frozen
dinners. I found many of them to have a good ratio of protein/
carbos/fats. Also Doctor Sears says in his book that not all
carbohydrates are equal we should eat more simple carbs (apples ect.)
than complex carbs (breads & pasta).
By the way for Vegetarians the one good source may be Soy based
products the protein powder I use is 100% soy protein. I have
been told that soy products may help lower cholesterol.
