Wrong, you can do things that result in loss of income for the copyright
holder. You can tell someone the movie sucks, you can tell someone the
storyline, you can let someone borrow your DVD to watch (not copy) so they
don't have to go to the theater or buy their own DVD. If you own the only
copy, you can destroy it thereby stopping the author from ever making money
from it.
You can do these things because you do own it, you own your copy.
