I have a SupraFaxModem that I've upgraded to 33.6. The best connect I've
had
with another modem is 31.2 and that's with a local BBS. My ISP also has some
USR modems that have been upgraded to 33.6 yet the best I can connect with
the
ISP is 28.8 which is better than the 24000 or 26400 I used to connect to them
at. I guess the best answer that I have to your question is that the modem
at
the other end of the connection has to be capable of a 33.6 connect and the
phone line in the connection has to be clean enough to allow it. Hey 24000
is
still way better than the 300cps I started telecommunicating at! ;-)
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
