BH> Oh well it is a good thought.
I see many beautiful pictures in my gardening magazines of
gardens that are mixtures of flowers and veggies. Of course I
think the camera can do things that don't work out as well when
some of us gardeners try it. I guess the expert might be able to
make a potato and flower combination look pretty. But I suspect
if I tried it it would look BAD!.
But if you want to mix some veggies with flower, leaf lettuce or
swiss chard can be quite attractive together. I think leaf
lettuce is the prettiest thing growing, some are a pale green,
some dark green and some with red, and then the leaf shapes can
be different too. I had a pot out front recently that was a mix
of flowers and lettuce and I thought it looked read good. But
then maybe I'm weird!
You mentioned not having a lot of room. I've found that container
gardening helps with that problem. A lot of things seem to grow
well in pots and don't take up quite so much room that way.
