-> JP>True. But I LIVE in NY, so I take him a lot more personally . . .
->
-> JP>Schumer is looking to run for governor here in 96. Sigh.
^^
Uh, correction: thats 98. He's running for re-election to Congress this
year.
-> John, pack up and move westardly, even in the midwest, we've always
-> got room for reasonable folks.
Let this bastard run me out of my own home? I think not. But I
appreciate the thought behind the suggestion.
I looked at Schumers current situation in the spring of 94. I was
hoping to start an online campaign similar to the De-Foley-ate
Washington thing, get gun owners from around the country to send money
to Schumers opponent so he could beat him.
Turns out he represents an ultra-liberal Manhattan district. The
Republicans had trouble even getting a "sacrificial lamb" to run a token
campaign against him. Schumer won by a 4 to 1 margin.
Statewide, it's gonna be a different story. Chuckies gonna have a
real fight on his hands.
Still, while I expect all gun owners will vote against him, it may come
down to a vote of confidence on our current governor, who's decidedly
more conservative than NY is used to having.
If he DOES win, I may have to take you up on your kind offer of
political assylum . . .
Regards
John
