Thees, I would tend to agree except that at least one court in the US has already ruled that what is happening in Guantanamo is outside court jurisdiction. The court's reasoning was that Guantanamo is foreign territory, as in fact it is, and American law doesn't apply. It is what they are doing in this country that is really scary because that does come under American law. However, there are precedents for the attitude they are exhibiting. In times of national crises, or at least perceived national crises, there has long been a tendency in this country to over-react and bend the law as expediency seems to dictate.
