Evidently the Southern Republican Conference likes Bush - he came in
first in their straw poll. J.C. Watts was first for VP.
Personally, I don't think much of Bush - too much old establishment
there, just like with his dad.
If I recall the rankings in that straw poll correctly, it was Bush, then
Forbes, then Quayle. Newt was down below Ashcroft and Alexander.
Forbes at least stands strongly opposed to the RNC's refusal to deny
support to pro-PBA candidates - the other front-runners don't that I've
heard of.
