I'm doing a little guessing here, but it sounds like you are running
a DOS comm program.  
If this is a regular comm program for calling up your BBS, I would
recommend you switch to a native OS/2 comm program.
If this is your DOS BBS, and OSTSR and TAME are not working for you
then I would recommend you try SLICER10.ZIP from the author's site:
                     http://ciholding.com/dink
I am using it here and it worked when the others would not.
