I actually think I heard of them on T.V. but I was doing what
I'm doing right now and didn't pay attention.
Being rather desperate just now I'm going to look into them.
Pain took me 12 years to tolerate, work around and accept,
assisted living has no appeal whatever.

RJT> A good doctor is hard to find.

Yeah, as I've said I know a prescription junkie who has a
string of doctors who'll virtually prescribe painkillers after
taking your blood pressure but I don't want to deal with
a legal drug dealer and unethical doctor.
I've gotten the names from him several times but never acted
on that info. I had nothing but luck in finding good doctors
until I was no longer able to work and have private health care
insurance. Since than I've not found a single good one.

I believe you're correct.
Now I'll just have to shop around and see but that'll have to wait
for March as February is slated for a CMOS battery, A drive and hard drive
for the Pentium. I should start the prep, tear down, work
on the Pentium in a week or ten days as I need to manage my time
so as to not overextend and being an NEC nothing is easy to get
to so I'll have to strip it to the M.B. even going so far as
to remove it to look for the model number on the underside
and checking that 1 IDE male pin I recall being loose
and perhaps solder reflowing it.

RJT> Possibly. I think so. Ask your handy pharmacist?

I shall, generally they're more help than doctors in my experience
as they'll inform and talk to you far more than a doctor.

RJT> I hate it when that happens.

Yup, only good thing I landed square so the impact was distributed,
 rib still hurts though.

Never did anything but pot for stress relief rather than pleasure.

 RJT> It's
RJT> amazing that he could get that given the political climate surrounding
 RJT> such stuff these days...

Note I say acquaintance as he's, legal junkie, no longer welcome here.
I've noted the junkies _never_ have problems finding the ways and means
to get drugs to get high from doctors but the poor
sap that actually needs pain killers gets squat.
That's what the political climate has fostered.
Watched "On Death and Dying" with Bill Moyers and a doctor
dying of esophegous cancer couldn't get adaquate
pain medication at the hospital he formerly worked in
as an oncologist :-(
This is why I've not seen a doctor since 95 when I blew about
600 dollars making the rounds of doctors.
If I *ever* see a doctor again I'm going to make him do a spinal x-ray
before anything else. Problem there being getting a clear one as
they position me in such a way I involuntarily shake from the pain
and pinched nerves, such was a major problem back in 95.
