I liked the Technojock stuff. Back in the '80s I got their library
and never looked back. Since then 20 odd years later I've
redone them so much its not 95% redone and so my toolbox but
its the best toolbox for newbies to start out with and then
work with your own stuff. Now though I have so many versions
for the various things i wrote of the years its confusing.
I got one for a game I'm in beta test for that is 98% redone
for Graphics since the old one was only for text. the other
May's stuff I don't reall touching. When I did some TG
utils for my bbs I did it from the Dev kit and code tim
gave me on the msg system.
I ought to sit down one day and release those utils I've done for TG
for the last 20 years or so. Last count i did about 82 of them.
But i think I only officially released to the public about 10.
Most went to friends and personal use. Maybe one day...another
project on my list of 30 or so projects :)

Sounds interesting and makes sense. But that could mess up
with some ansis and games wouldn't it? Back in college we
wrote a term program (basic bbs that did msgs, files/downloads/
uploads and chat). Was easy using the Async stuff back in
the days as it was the only thing to use (back in 14.4 days).
One of the advanced ideas was a concept like yours doing
a rate thing to downgrade it to 300. I seem to recall i
did something like that but had trouble with fast typing in
chat if i recall? It has been 15 or so years.
