At least in the US, it's a trade name used for certain semi-pro gear, 
omewhat
of a sister to certain products marketed as Technics.  Panasonic is not used 
on
any similar products, while Ramsa is not used on any consumer lines, but
Technics is.  Panasonic is a trade name I suspect intended to sound more 
English
friendly than mot-sueSH-ta, which some people confuse as being the parent
company.  Panasonic AFAIK is also used as a US name on some distribution
corporations, while Technics and Ramsa are only used as trade names.  
Confusing
enough?  
This could vary in some countries internationally.  Matsushita has a separate
corporate US presence with numerous (16 or so) subdivisions, while it may 
nly
have zero or one organization consolidating lines more in smaller countries.
