I managed to make a 117Gb NTFS partition on it (using XP > again) that > OS/2 DFSEE sees as spanning beyond the end of disk. > I have a similar problem with a Maxtor 80GB USB disc. When I use the IBM mass storage device driver, LVM and DFSEE both say that the disc is much smaller than its actual size and will let me use only the smaller capacity. However, if I use the Chris Wohlgemuth's mass storage device driver from http://www.os2world.com/cdwriting/cwusbmsd/files/cw-usbmsd-v1_2b.zip> the full capacity of the drive is recognized and I can format and use it as such. Once the disc is formatted both the IBM driver and Chris' driver can access it without problems, although the IBM driver still causes LVM and DFSEE to report problems. I can only assume that the IBM driver, for some reason, reports an incorrect geometry for the drive and that this is important only when the drive is being partitioned/formatted. I used the cwusbmsd driver to partition/format the drive and switched to the IBM driver for day-to-day use. So far (many months) there have been no ill effects. Regards Sid Gale Yahoo!
