Sure, they'll SAY that, but in practice, digital doesn't 'travel' as well as 
analog, and sounds different (not as clear to many people).  I have a friend 
that got a PCS phone on te first day of service.  Mostly OK, but there are 
several places around San Diego where either the voice gets garbled, like 
it's scrambled, or it drops out completely, just like cellphones.
... Excuse me, I have to recharge my flamethrower.
