subject: QB45 ...

Greetings All,
I am still using QB45 and need to know how to check for the existance of a
file.. other than being sloppy and using something like:
ChkFile:
OPEN "Filename" FOR APPEND AS #1
If LOF(1) = 0 THEN
GoTo NoFile
End If
Print #1, A$
Close #1
Return
NoFile:
Close #1
Goto Label
This example is goofy coding but I just want to know if there is something in
QB like: If Exists(Filename) GOSUB FoundIt ... I am writting a BBS Chat Door
and need a quick way for testing for a given filename... I have found
something like this in QB but it seems to work backwards and/or not always
consistant :-/
BTW - Thanks to those that helped me with the LORD IGM structs..Got it
working and just waiting for Seth Able's seal of approval before releasing it
:-)
