No, because it is not forwarding to NS2 a request for the URL, but instead 
each Icon is in reality a seperate copy of NS2's icon with a URL locator 
available. You could try to drag and drop a desktop URL icon into the URL 
field of an open NS2 and see if that would get picked up.
