12379f69fdc4 tech Hello Wayne - RJT>> The only problem I have with it is how often "the state" RJT>> is mistaken... RJT>> That's why several states now seem to have a moratorium RJT>> on it. Now if you're talking about a situation where they RJT>> admit guilt, or something similar, I have absolutely no RJT>> objection to it. MM>> For reasons yet unknown to me, there have recently been MM>> cases uncovered during DNA testing where even "admitted MM>> guilty" persons have later been proven innocent. MM>> This gives me cause to wonder about the entire system... WC> The police have suspects under duress and stress when WC> questioning them while dangling the carrot of relief should WC> they confess. Most innocent people are not prepared for WC> harsh and threatening treatment so in order to get that WC> treatment to stop they give in. Witness the Central Park WC> N.Y. "wilding" rape - assault where several kids went to WC> prison. The real rapist has now years later confessed _and_ WC> his DNA matches. The other factors would be not being able to 'make bail' and facing years in jails far less equipped for long term habitation than prisons are and the expense of 'mounting a defense'. The offer of a 'deal' from the prosecutor's office and the whole thing ends plus you get to live in a building designed for long term incarceration might tempt those not accustom to luxury accomodations to begin with? After six months in jail you have no job, no place to live, possibly no car, and probably no friends. Nothing much left to 'go home' to? WC> Not to fear however as when we all have chips implanted WC> locatable by satellite the "Department of Information WC> Awareness" will clear this all up because the government is WC> too moral and ethical to abuse such information. You're kidding but it wouldn't surprise me at all if Bush announced a plan to do that very thing tomorrow. > > , , > o/ Charles_Angelich - DOS Ghost \o , > __o/ > / > www.undercoverdesign.com/dosghost/faf/ < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
