I'm not actually sure - from a programming perspective it was set up so that it looked just like a normal EFI: check the crank position and switch the injector on/off for the appropriate cylinder. The fact that a single i/o port was triggering two injectors was transparent. It pretty much had to be with the limited processing power available. (The 8061 in the EEC IV normally maxed out at around 8000rpm on a V6 - we stretched that a bit for the 4-cyl RS200 but you run into issues due to timer resolution/granularity.) > A bit more belt and braces. The idea on the RS200 was to use standard parts as much as possible, just put together in unusual configurations. It worked quite well, but sadly the B class was banned just as the RS200 was starting to show promise. I believe some of the ones we made for homologation ended up as motorway pursuit vehicles for Essex police. -- Tony --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
