Yep, thanks!

Hm ... Are the line breaks more or less the same as the above? Or is it a
complete mess?
In either case you could try to use a default font which allows sufficent
characters on a line; or you could fiddle a bit with the default left and
right margins.

Well, I also know more about WP macro's than Quantum Mechanics. But I also
_do_ know a bit about QM ;-)

It is not possible to 'load' WP as ascii editor. But you can make a macro for
the saving as ascii:
{ASSIGN}Fname~{SYSTEM}15~{SYSTEM}12~~
{Text in/out}11{VARIABLE}Fname~{Enter}
{IF}{STATE}&1024~+{ENDIF}
{Exit}-+
Comments:
Line 1: Obtains the full current file name and stores it in a variable
Line 2: Saves the file as ascii with the Ctl-F5, 1, 1 ... sequence
Line 3: Says 'Yes' if there is a yes/no question
(and usually there is: replace existing file Yes/No?)
Line 4: Exit WP without saving. (F7, No, Yes)
Start the Macro editor with HOME, Ctl-F10.
Give the alt-key combo you want as the name (I'd use Alt-S for 'save' or
Alt-X for 'save and eXit'. Andoptionally a description.
Insert the {UPPERCASE} thingies with Ctl-PgUp etc.
Insert {Text in/out} with Ctl-F5
Insert {Enter} with Ctl-V, Enter
Insert {Exit} with Ctl-V, F7
Terminate with F7
