I'm running into zip failures when zipping up a large partition (just over
3 gig) - it says insufficient space.  The target for the zipfile is a jfs
partition with >10gig free space.  Using  zip -rS8 L:\zipfile .  from the
root of H

It quit with these msgs:

zip I/O error: Disk full

zip error: Temporary file failure (was zipping hzip.zip)

Is it using the /tmp setting?


Checking my zip it's version 2.3 - been around for 5 years.

Checking the infozip web site, a 2.31 was released in April 2005 fixing a
buffer overrun problem (although there's no solid OS2 binary yet).  Not
sure if this is the same problem or not.
