From: "Glenn Meadows"
Paul Harvey had a report on he morning new report that I caught in passing..
'Twas about Mobile/Exxon drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, about 10 miles
down, on their way to hitting an oil reserve estimated to be one of the
largest in the world so far. Something like 1 million pounds of pipe going
in. He was talking about computer control of drill heads 10 miles down
from where the ship is positioned. His comment/observation was that with
this reserve, the US could be a huge step closer to being foreign oil
independent.
Haven't read anything else about the project/field find, but if true, is an
interesting development, and one not yet making much news splash in the
MSM.
