Did you try unplugging the cable tv cable from the tv.  It's the difference 
in 
ground potential between the cable and your electrical wiring that's causing 
the 
hum.  You need to get the cable grounded near your ac ground so that both 
have the 
same ground potential.  Same ground potential=no hum
