RJT>That's something I can picture easily enough. RJT>TW> Seperate tanks typicaly only come in the higher priced printers. RJT>Oh? How much higher priced? I've not really looked at this stuff at all i RJT>recent years. I just don't do that much printing, not like I used to. RJT>TW> And now in the seperate tank system some of the high end printers RJT>TW> have gone to 6 Colors for better rendition of the color. RJT>TW> Particualrly for Picture Prints. RJT>I've heard of that. RJT>This sort of thing makes it real understandable why people go for those ref RJT>kits, particularly when the price of the refills almost comes up to the pr RJT>of the printer. (I even have bought a couple printers at Target and Walmart that were less costly than buying replacement cartridges 8-). My XYL just bought a Epson 3in1 copier-printer that has 7 tanks; each replaceable as the color is exhausted. She is the digital photographer here. It does a very good job; both in color and black and white text tasks. I noted the tanks are about half the width of previous cartridges. (Maybe some design engineer found the cotton-foam stuffed in the earlier cartridges cost more than the ink fluid it displaced ?-) I often wondered if the lint from the cotton-batten was what helps foul up the print heads. Time will tell maybe.
