If you can, do an AT%q2 after the disconnect. (I think that's right! )... 
it's the one that'll report the disconnect reason. See what it tells you as 
to why you're being dumped. 99% of the time when a connection is broken with 
my ISP I get a "v42bis error" being reported as the reason.
