16 Feb 95, Mark Kimes writes to Jon Guthrie: >> I tend to lean to the former because it allows me better control >> over timeouts. > Ahem. Reference DosDevIOCtl category 1 function 0x53. In about a month and a half, a company in California called Cyclades corporation will announce that they now have an OS/2 driver for their family of multichannel serial cards. I mention this because I wrote the driver. That would imply that I know about IOCTL cat 1 func 0x53. (Fact is, it was the last one I tested because it is the most complex of all of the generic serial IOCtl's.) The control you get using the DCB is inadequate for my purposes. I get better control using the second thread and semaphore method. - Jon --- GoldED/2 2.42.G0214* Origin: The Wandering Programmer Comes Home (1:106/2000.25) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 430 SEEN-BY: 711/807 808 809 934 942 949 955 712/515 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 30883/25 106/2000 449 116 170/400 270/101 396/1 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 @PATH: 711/409 808 809 934 |
