I can mail you an ERD if you like - send me an email
jim.holsonback{at}juno.com if you want one. But - I don't think it will do
you any good if your System BIOS will not autodetect the HDD parameters,
it can't find the HDD and the ERD won't help.
From this and your other posts to/from Matt, sounds like either the HDD
has died, or perhaps the first IDE channel has died on the Mainboard. I
had that happen to me about a year ago on an Asus board with AMD k6-2.-
HDD suddenly stopped working and wouldn't autodetect. I moved it to the
secondary channel and it autodetected just fine and I could access the
drive. Turned out the first IDE channel had just up and died, for no
apparent reason.
You still thinking of coming to Orlando to see where I volunteer
sometime on this trip? If so, you could bring the box with you and we
could look into it at the shop. Even if your HDD or one of your IDE
channels is dead, we could probably find a used replacement for modest
cost.
