| subject: | Rectifier Bulb? HoHoHo |
-> JB> use an 20W lightbulb, (like an indicator lamp) they have a lower -> JB> resistance when cold which allows for quicker charging while still -> JB> providing a current-limiting function if a fault develops. -> The light bulb limiter was also suggested by some others. Seems a bit -> fragile and bulky for my intended use. A simple Series resister selected to Limit the Short Circult current to the Maximum value you want works far better. And typicaly is smaller. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 1 379/1 633/267 |
