I had a lot of fun riding cabs when I was there. One driver actually asked
*me* for a direction ("which way is it?"), with the numbered streets that
should make it just about impossible to not know which way something is (we
don't have that anywhere in this country). I didn't know if he was joking
or not, but either way it didn't feel like the best idea to ride with him,
so I just stepped out and walked half a block and took another cab.

You see, cabs here are a bit different, they're highly respected and
reliable. You could give a cab driver a bunch of money and an address to
which they should be taken, and it would be okay, the money would
definately get there. And there are *no* non-native Finnish speakers
driving cabs.

(I got to where I was going every time, maybe about 10 cab rides, it was
just a bit strange an experience)
