Hey Terry! There's something to your first point, I think. When you had
guys who played together for 7-10 years (at least the nucleus) you had
higher scores *and* more skilled games. Eg: Lakers in the 80s; Celtics in
the 60s and again in the early/mid 80s. Heck, even the
*Blazers* in the 88-94 period. Perhaps the Blazers provide the best
example (?!?). The grand majority of the team at that time were no-names
coming out of college (Drexler being the exception, perhaps Cliffie, too).
But they played together and they did it for a number of years. Never
missed the play-offs in that period, either.
Point Two: then I guess you'll be watching a lot of ABL this season!
