You're right, stolen base percentage has as much to do with picking the right
spots and getting good jumps as it does with speed. However, I watch most of
Grissom's games, so I'm not just going blindly with numbers. Even at running
out potential infield hits, Grissom doesn't seem as fast as what you'd think.
Again, this is not a knock on him, as he's one of my favorite players and he
DOES hustle (unlike McGriff at times). I just don't think he's as fast as
everyone thinks.
