SWR is actually supposed to be measured at the antenna.  A small signal 
source incjected into the INPUT source of the meter, at the desired frequency 
will allow instantaneous tuning.
Placing the SWR bridge between the radio and say an amplifier will allow you 
to adjust the input impedance of the amp (if homebrewing an amp)
 RW> ... It's not bass unless you can feel it!
Bass is meant to be felt, not heard!
