They do know it if I'm 300+ years old and make 3 Euros a year, and my title
is "Ruler of the Existenze"... I try to be clear that I did not
give proper information, just because of that. I want them to be able to
notice the protest.

Because it will lead to more stuff being "targeted" at specific
audiences, which so far (IMO) has only lead to boringly pre-chewed stuff.
It's like half the films which have been manuscripted by marketoids to
"best fit the target audience", and turn out terribly boring. I
want to be in charge of what I get to see & read instead of someone who
has calculated what I am like and what I will therefor like. I want to be
able to find out what I am not supposed to like, and maybe be pleasantly
surprised every now and then.
Does that make any sense? I know it's not *that* big a deal, but still...
