| subject: | Dried up Ink Cart. HoHoHo |
Hello, Jasen. JH> Anyone here have any experience with bringing dried-up HP ink JH> cartridges back to life? JB> Take the head out of the printer and put the ouput end on a kleenex JB> soaked in hot water for a couple of minutes. (guy in an ink shop told JB> me that) You're a winner, as this ended up similar to what finally worked for me. FWIW, BIR I tried the brief soaking and wiping before the overnight soak. But, anyway - - JB> Hmm, they call it "professional series" and then sell you a new head JB> with every ink bottle = sounds like doubletalk to me... JB> prolly charge more for the ink than for the rest of the printer too. Since I got the printer for $15, used, that is definitely the case for me. I dunno where they get that "professional" part. Duty cycle is 3000 copies per month, which is under 15 per day for 5 day work week. - - - JimH. ... Jim, that cartridge cost you more than the whole printer did.- - Bubba --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.32* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/1 379/1 633/267 |
