Yes.  By all means, read the book.  The MYSTERY! productions of Strong Poison 
was good, the HAVE HIS CARCASE better, and the GAUDY NIGHT positively 
dreadful.  I liked Petherbridge and Walter's performances but even the finest 
adaptation can't capture all the nuances of the book.
