In canada the nation-wide a band carrier is Rogers Cantel. I
understand they have roaming agreements with most U.S. cellular
carriers so yes you can probably use your phone in canada.
Your corporate plan rate sounds pretty good.
I am on flextalk 30 with the After Hours (free evenings/weekends)
scheme from Bell Mobility, a Mobilink Company.
I pay about $50 a month for 30 minues free primetime a month, 50
cents a minute after that, free evenings and weekends from 6 pm
to 8 am next morning, and all day or night weekends.
No cap on free airtime. I added my father's phone to my plan for
$20 a month as what is called a Joint Account.
he and i share the free time and features in my plan. Since he
seldom uses my phone it is not a problem and when in Toronto I
can use his phone to get a Toronto cellular number.
Our phones are both Motorola flips and ourbatteries and cigarette
lighter cords and chargers are interchangeable. Saves me hauling
a charger with me when I am at his place.
Only inconvenience is his cellular bill is included in mine and I
have to pay both but let him know what he owes me.
Corporate rate on Bell Cellular is $25 a month and 25 cents a
minute day or night, you get 25% discount on add on features like
after hours but on corporate rate evening time starts at 8 pm
until 7 am and all day weekend.
