Do you have error recording enabled in config.sys?  If so, what's reported in 
popuplog.os2?  If not, check the os/2 help for SUPPRESSPOPUPS, and add the 
required or lines to config.sys.  Then you'll be able to include popuplog.os2 
in your messages, which will help the experts around here diagnose your 
problem.  *adh*
