Mark, I took your advice to go see Shawn play.  I talked my date and the 
ther
couple we were with to leave the hockey game early so we wouldn't miss any of 
it.  We were beating Oklahoma City 7 - 2 anyway.  We got there at about 
quarter till 10, paid a $5.00 cover each and got a pretty good seat.
We got some beers and some food.  Looked like the band arrived at about
10:20.  Started setting up.  We got more beer....  more beer.
Everyone I was with wanted to leave by now.
At 11:30 these guys were still setting up.  We paid our tab, got our
cover charge back and left.  I won't be going to anymore Shawn Lane
shows.  Word of advice to other players.  If it takes you 2 hours to
set up, you need to get there 2 hours before your show starts.  :-)
