Understood. When I have these thoughts I feel obligated to say
something for fear I will hear of some disaster and think I
should have said something sooner. :-\

The apartment has gas but my brother can't tolerate normal
temperatures and insists on keeping it 'cool' indoors. Two
bachelors both trying to remain comfortable, hence the heater

I remember some mention of ice for the Romans on a documentary
and was surprised by that.

No 'dry air' in Michigan surrounded by the Great Lakes. At 45ø
F I wear a light jacket. :-)
