The 3 (imho) reasons that could explain this phenomena:
1. It's recommendable to install the os on the smallest and quickest
disk. Thus, being the under limit, 18 Gig sized disks are more in demand.
2. As 72 Gig scsi disks come at reasonable and low prices now, the 36
Gig sized ones have lost much of interest.
3. Some (the new ones) of the Seagate 18Gig rotate at 15k rpm, which
togheter with my remark number 1. makes them pricier (at least compared
to IDE disks).
