 Early- to mid-60s I stopped trying to have screwed up
 engineering drawings corrected because of that attitude
 by supervisors.  I'd just sit back and let whatever was
 being built blow up when power was applied.

 NPN power transistors bolted directly to the chassis
 because, "I thought the emitter was the stud so it
 could be easily mounted."    And these engineers
 were working on NASA and other government contracts.
