Hello Jean -

CA>> I think that's approximately a small box of paper?

JP> A ream is a ream, at 500 sheets. 10 lbs or 33 lbs is still
JP> 500 sheets.

I must've been buying 3 ream boxes then. I recall something
like 1500 sheets per box of fanfold when I was still printing
often.

CA>> I have at least a half-dozen dot matrix printers, even one
CA>> 132 column (very noisy) heavy duty model that can print
CA>> 24/7

JP> I had one of these at one time too, daisy-wheeled. Very
JP> nice output. I passed it on to a friend that wanted to do
JP> diagram printing. Looking around my room here, I see 4
JP> dot-matrix units. You are a more dedicated collector than I
JP> am. ;-))

I feel badly when I have to put anything in the garbage that is
working. I really don't know what to do with all these printers
but the pile is growing (just got another the past month).

JP> Mine all run still. And I use two printers routinely, the
JP> USB Lexmark and the LPT1 Canon 4000. Fun !

On the rare occasion I need a printout I use my brothers. He is
into photography and needs a printer. I am not and have little
need for one.
