We can argue that point hither and yon - we also have the "free"
providers like Freeserve and Tesco - the cost is abstracted from your phone
bill.

Whatever - the final result is that the UK is certainly not a
"desert" in these terms.  I was in the Virgin Megastore in London
yesterday - GBP1 for 60 minutes of pretty good access.

Again - our friend strikes me as a typical debka reporter.  I wonder if he
ever left home.
