Works perfectly when compiled 16-bit, but has a linker error when compiled
32-bit; a quick check reveals that _osmode doesn't exist in the 32-bit
libraries, but is present in the 16-bit libraries.
I checked the library reference (printed manual), and saw no reference to
the fact that _osmode was 16-bit only. Go figure.
